Botalia Ulton, 24yo daughter to highly revered Scholars, lives out her exile on an island, isolated from society. When assassins and an old friend-turned-convict, sneak onto the island, Botalia realizes there is much more to the puzzle than she originally suspected.
Botalia must come to terms with a past she attempted to bury, learn to control her life force and the beast within her, and break the terms of her exile to protect the very association that sentenced her, even if it results in her own death.
