A group of women get together weekly to enjoy the card game 'Canasta'. As Expats, they rely on their close friends and tight bonds with each other to survive Island life, but when the bonds become too close and scandal and corruption raise their ugly heads, the conversation and atmosphere around 'The Canasta Table' quickly changes.
The story is centred around three of the women and their spouses who belonged to this circle of friends and how one of the couples intense need for money and power dramatically affected all of their lives.
